COMING SOON - HELP MUSICIANS CHARITY PROJECT

During 2020, Edwin was deeply moved by the devastating impact COVID restrictions have put on the music industry and its musicians. In response, he wrote this piece ‘Concert d’un reve lucide’ and produced a video played virtually by musicians around the world, to raise money for Help Musicians - a charity that supports musicians, particularly affected by COVID and its restrictions.

Musicians and music organisations are struggling and many have gone completely out of business, and music has stopped. Help Musicians provides support to them. It’s everyone’s wish that music can start up again as soon as it is able to, and music can once again be part of all our lives.

The piece, ‘Concert d’un reve lucide’ was inspired by a lucid dream Edwin had depicting an orchestral concert. Since music concerts are so much rarer in COVID times and for a lot of people only exist in dreams, it seemed like the perfect inspiration for this project.
